A Rainy Day

It was yet another CDS day and this time, the morning started with a heavy downpour, which made most of us uncharacteristically arrive late at the local government, despite the rains , we arrived one after the other. At some point she walked in, looking ever beautiful in her khaki...story for another day #wink

Our able LI arrived and requested we submit our CDS cards, got them signed and told us to go have a group meeting, he picked the ever pretty looking Toke to be our speaker for the day…did I forget to mention, all the girls (married and single) in my CDS group are so fine…am blessed to be part of this group.

we had our opening prayer done as usual and Toke gave us a talk on Personal Hygiene, it was quite interesting, enlightening and funny too. I learnt it's good for one to take his or her bathe at least twice daily, daily brushing of our teeth and keeping our nails short and clean etc.

After the meeting, we went back upstairs to pick up our cards; we had a brief meeting with Mr. Charles, we got our cards and said our goodbyes.

Corpers on Vacation

Today's CDS was quite uneventful; we did not go out cleaning as usual. As expected most of us were thrilled. Not that we don't enjoy going out to clean but getting a break after so many weeks of cleaning was a huge relief.

We all strolled leisurely into the Local Government Building one after the other. It was just like taking a vacation after a long period of work. As if not going out to clean wasn't enough, our CDS was also scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. instead of the usual 8a.m. It was really a special CDS day.

We started our meeting by 9a.m and it had only 

lasted about fifteen minutes before our able L.I decided to grace our gathering with his presence. He started out by promising not to take too much of our time but we definitely knew better. He ended up speaking to us for about two and half hours and every minute was worth it.

By the time he left us to continue the meeting, most of us felt we had had enough for the day and Piriye (our able PRESIDO) had no other choice but to bring the meeting to a close.

We got our cards signed and marched to our respective homes.

 It was definitely a stress-free CDS day.
